This beautiful bee and the hive blanket design popped into my head whilst I was walking around the garden with my granddaughter Adeline.

It is made up of US single crochets and puff stitches or bobble stitches.
I also have a UK terminology listing for this pattern.
Also within the pattern notes is lots of helpful tips.

To make this pattern you will need a size 4 mm hook with dk light yarn if you're wanting to use a thicker yarn I would suggest going up in hook sizes ( this is also stated within the pattern notes ) yarn scissors and a yarn needle, I used Paintbox yarns simply dk in the shade Banana Cream 120 for the main blanket colour and White 100 for the border. I used 5 balls of 100g in the main shade and under 25g in the border shade.

The measurements averaged around 31 inches wide and 41 inches long.

You can change to puff stitch for a bobble stitch it's all in the pattern notes.
